VideoTrash is a new series from What the Film Club showcasing the wonderfully weird world of zero-budget VHS movies.

THINGS

“Ideally watched under the influence of some illicit substance, anything will do really, and with a room full of similarly impaired, like-minded friends.” – Brent McKnight, The Last Thing I See

We’re kicking VideoTrash off with one of the most famous shot-on-video (SOV) films to date, Things (1989) by Andrew Jordan, one of the first “stars” of the 80s/90s SOV scene. Things (attempts to) tell the story of a horror fan fighting for his life against an array of strange, goofy and slightly confusing creatures. Often dubbed “the worst movie ever made”, it’s an absolute must-see for lovers of strange cult cinema.
