What The Film Club is all about celebrating the best, the worst and weirdest of cult films, B-movies and trash cinema through regular DIY screenings and online content about the world of genre cinema.

Our screenings are often silly and always fun; we are here to bring people together to enjoy films from the oddest parts of film history. We love turning film screenings into social events and always have an onsite bar and some fun suprises like our free dumb WTF prize giveaway (which usually consists of odd homemade prizes or bizarre finds in the charity shops of Leeds). Every screening has a lighthearted introduction from Lee and Dan touching on the unique history of each film.

Most of our screenings operate on a Pay What You Can basis to make sure we keep up the quality of the screenings and provide access to people even when money is in short supply (and we’ve been there). All profits raised go to support future screenings.

We’re currently developing more online content to look at and champion the wider world of genre filmmaking. Stay tuned!

Currently based in Leeds, UK but we are slowly bringing our weirdness to other cities in the North with screenings currently taking place in Leeds and Manchester.
