Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki
2 December 2023 // 10:00 pm - 11:30 pm
We’ve teamed up with Hyde Park Picture House for a very bloody Christmas special of the insanely gory, completely crazy and very rarely screened legendary cult film Riki-Oh: The Story of Riki.
Adapted from the Japanese Manga, Riki-Oh follows a young man sent to a futuristic prison after taking revenge on an evil gang leader. Ruled over by the cruel, corrupt warden and his violent henchman, Riki soon learns there is only one way to survive – by literally punching his way through everyone and everything that tries to stop him.
What follows is an hour and a half of absolutely over-the-top bloody and kung fu madness. Think Braindead meets The Karate Kid.
We’ll be screening it with the infamously silly English dub for maximum fun.
So join us for a very special screening presented by What The Film Club, featuring an intro from Lee and Dan and our annual tongue-in-cheek Christmas raffle for a chance to win something probably very weird.
